Trying to lock down on the chatter coming through the channel is like chasing a shadow. Social fables and science fiction imprint hysteria.

What's left of the world isn't worth warring over. Eden is below your feet and behind your eyes. My garden's got graffiti for miles.

Market forces determine capitalistic societies. So if reason is boiled down to supply and demand, why not supply oppression to those demanding it? When one society's definition of democracy differs from another why try and change the market? Just re-brand the product. We are entitled to live within our own delusions.

Modern souls filter and leverage information. Knowledge is not power, it's positioning. The only way to get by is by knowing yourself. I rock applications all day long. Graffiti has a way of forcing you to apply yourself. It's like music, once you catch the fever, you're forever restless.

Graffiti is to the art world what the internet is to the music industry. Half the fun in the Name Game is in knowing your product is free. In some ways making the experience more genuine, closer to being true. Perhaps making it more notorious.

Trying to cheat the devil is a contest for the suicidal. Hell bent on business, transaction and purpose, the world of reality is for the taking. Televised versions wilt in comparison.

Killers and martyrs share common reflections. Staring at mirrors has its cost. The content you seek, speaks reams.

What have I become?
My sweetest friend...
Everyone I know goes away
In the end
And you could have it all
My empire of dirt
I will let you down
I will make you hurt
-Johnny Cash

This song makes me think about everything that is going on right now. I have so many friends leaving for college and I'm not sure if I will see them again. And it makes me realize how quickly life goes by. Before I know, I'm going to wake up and be 50. I wonder if I will know any of the friends I have now. I wonder if I will think of them... I wonder if they will ever think of me. I hope I've left some sort of impression on all of my friends that are leaving. I now fully understand Carpe Diem. Sieze each and every day because they all go by so fast.

I have lost complete faith in our "justice" system...
My buddy "Gkae" just got arrested for writing on walls. He was on trial the same day as a serial rapist. They both went before the same judge. Gkae was sentenced to 3 YEARS in a minimum security prison. That same judge sentenced the serial rapist to 1 YEAR in that same prison. WTF.

Free Gkae...
"People feel threatened by graffiti, because they don't understand it. When the judge handed me three years he said,...'you don't have one victim you have tens of thousands of victims that have to see your graffiti on their way to work.' Haha, I victimized tens of thousands of people by adding a little color to their monotanous, beige lives, and was arrested for it. Where the hell is this world going?"-Gkae

He got a harsher sentence than a SERIAL RAPIST!

I move to fast and think to slow
There's not much you could do or say to phase me
People think I'm a little bit crazy
A little bit too fast paced and racy
I'll never forget about the city the raised me
The women I chased and the cops that have chased me
And I couldn't give a damn what category you placed me
Never let your negativity hold or stop me
Never forget the knowledge my life has taught me
I'll never be the person that you want me to be
There'll always be something I do or say and you won't agree
Thats my individuality
My originality
Even though some of you all get pissed off and mad at me
Never forget my family or where I'm from
And never blame others for the wrong I've done
I'll never hold a grudge
I say peace and show love
Never believe one day I'd be bombing with Dence
Never know the abilities that you posess
Til you find yourself and lay all assumptions to rest
I'll never stop writing when theres no paint left
And I'll never stop flowing even when theres no breath
And I'll never find the words that describe my mind
I'll never stop looking
And I'll never stop trying
I'll never forget the people that pushed me to become who I am
And everyone the came to the jam
Damn...

I am training to be a Jedi
Jedi Christian, that is.

Trent, for my birthday, got me a book called, "Christian Wisdom of the Jedi Masters" and it is sweet. The author, Dick Staub, pretty much teaches you how to become a saint using Jedi wisdom and practices. There are a small chosen "Super Christians", called Jedi Christians. All Christians should aspire to be a part of these few. So I'm going to share bits and pieces of my training with you all.

::Lesson 1::
"Do or do not. There is no 'try'"-Master Yoda

If you are an aspiring Jedi Christian, are you ready to burn all your bridges and put everything on the line in your quest for spiritual perfection? "Giving it a try" is insufficient in our spiritual quest, because trying always assumes the possibility of giving up. Trying is tentative, while doing means to deal with for good; to finish.

In his final battle with Darth Vader, Luke reaches a place where the seriousness of his desire to master the Force is teasted; he makes a decision to do it instead of trying it, and the Force is fully with him. After defeating Vader, he is tempted by the Emperor to turn to the dark side. Luke makes the decision for which he has spent a lifetime in preparation. Luke steps away from the fallen Vader, hurls his lightsaber away, and says, "Never! I'll never turn to the dark side. You have failed Your Highness. I am a Jedi, like my father before me." In this pivotal moment, as Luke finds his resolve, the Force is harnessed, and the Jedi return.

Do. Or do not. There is no try.

Think about this...
"Because they do not wish to be decieved, but to decieve, they love truth when it shows itself to them, and they hate truth when it shows them to themselves."-St. Augustine

Think about that for a little while. How many times have we stumbled and rebuked the hand that is offered to help us up? How often do we find ourselves making excuses of our iniquities? It seems that we are ashamed to let our brothers and sisters in Christ know that we have sinned. We forget that they are there to help us.

When we get caught up in sin, there seems to be this habit where we become more and more withdrawn. We seclude ourselves and turn away from many, many helping hands. The Holy Spirit is merely using those people to humble us, to make us realize that what we are doing is against God, to help us.

When this happens to us, our first impression may be, "Oh they are judging me, I can do what I want. THEY need to accept ME for who I am." The sad truth about this is we are completely, utterly wrong. The problem with that is we fail to realize that our sin can not simply be "accepted." Why? Because sin is evil and to accept evil is to to reject God. They aren't trying to judge us, they are trying to actually help us, telling us that what we are doing is actually harmful to our soul.

Imagine you were hiking in the woods with a buddy of yours and you were walking towards the edge of a cliff unknowingly. If your buddy saw this, wouldn't you want him to say something? Of course you would. Sure, you could just say, "I can do what I want" and keep walking even though he told you to stop, but then what would happen? You would fall and die. Same idea applies to this. You can say, "I can do whatever I want, blah, blah, blah," but, eventually, you WILL fall and die. So maybe, next time someone calls you out, instead of thinking they aren't accepting you or that they are jsut judging you, remember that they are trying to keep you from falling off of that cliff and dying.

JP2 We Love You
After the pope's death, I've been wondering what made so many people love the pope. Why would thousands of people wait hours to get a glmpse of him through a window or to hear him speak a few words? I never understood pope-mania and simply thought it was some kind of celebrity rush. Why was so much attention directed to THIS pope. Why the frenzy, why the tears?

I watched a video taken from St. Peter's square during WYD 2000. There were thousands of teens and older people alike chanting, "JP2 we love you!" After a few minutes of this, the pope steps out onto the balcony and start chanting back, JP2, he loves you. I suddenly understood why so many people love this pope. Pope John Paul 2 was a man who truely loved God, the Church and the youth of the world.

This pope was someone who had the ability to unite all catholics together around the world. No matter what their background was, he could always unite them through Christ and this was a beautiful thing. Not only that, he was a mediator between different faiths. being the first pope to enter a mosque or a synagogue broke down so many walls that had been put up between faiths.

His famous mantra, "Be not afraid," wasn't simply a mantra. He lived it and he taught others to live it as well. He was an advocate for my generation and implored us to not be afraid of the Church, of God, or of the rest of the world which seems to always be fighting against us.

The world lost someone who literally changed the face of history through the death of the holy father. May this stranger who embraced all of us, know the God for whom none of us are strange. And may the mystery that is God wrap this man into a certain peace.

The apostle named Homer Simpson.
My favorite apostle has to be Peter. Peter is, without a doubt, the Homer Simpson of apostles. He is constantly screwing up and you can just imagine him saying, "D'oh!" every time. The day after Christ was crucified, He decides to go fishing. This makes me laugh because Peter is a horrible fisherman. Everytime in the bible when he goes fishing, he never catches anything. This time is no different. Him and a few other disciples spend that day and the next night fishing and catch NOTHING! Then, on Easter morning, some guy comes and walks up to the shore and says, "Hey, try throwing your net out over the other side of the boat. Miraculously, they catch 153 fish, nearly destroying the net. Peter, being one of the only apostles to recognize Jesus, puts all of his clothes on and actually jumps into the water and swims to shore. Then him and Christ ate breakfast together.

Peter, even though he wasn't the brightest crayon in the box, was still trusting enough to jump out into the water for Christ. Peter wasn't chosen to be the first pope because he was the most intelligent or the wisest or anything like that. He was chosen because he was willing. He trusted in Jesus' choice and accepted it knowing that he would literally be giving up his own life.

So if you're telling yourself, I can't do this because I'm not good enough or I'm not smart enough or I don't have enough money, relax. God does not call the equiped, he equips the called. If you put your trust in Christ, you will have everything you need. He will give it to.

"Open the eyes of my heart Lord, open the eyes of my heart. I wanna see You high and lifted up. Shining in the light of Your glory. Pour out your power and love as we sing holy, holy, holy."-Supertones.
